Experience Cryotherapy at iNFUSION Cryotherapy & Laser Center

iNFUSION is a wellness business founded in January 2016 specializing in whole body cryotherapy, MLS Laser Therapy and IV Vitamin Therapy. With the goal to decrease pain in a safe, holistic way, chiropractic physicians Darren and Karol Woodling added iNFUSION to complement their existing businesses, Harmony Wellness and Rehab (Montgomery, Ala.) and Woodling Chiropractic and Wellness Center (Troy, Ala.), which concentrate on chiropractic care and physical therapy. We are always looking for new and alternative treatments.

Tell me about your goals/vision for your business.

iNFUSION’s goal is to focus on alternative ways to help patients live pain free and enjoy healthy lifestyles without the use of drugs or surgery. Today patients seek alternative methods to facilitate a healthier lifestyle. They no longer reach for prescription drugs first, but are open to the beneficial effects that supplements and integrative medicine offer.

Why the decision to add cryotherapy?

We at iNFUSION are passionate about educating patients and assisting them to live a healthy, pain-free life — and cryotherapy is at the forefront. We have seen incredible results with our patients.

Why did you decide to partner with Impact Cryotherapy?

Impact Cryosaunas have made a huge difference in the way iNFUSION’s customers experience cryotherapy. The friendly staff and knowledgeable sales reps led us to understand that Impact was the perfect fit for both facilities. The design and quality of Impact’s units are exceptional, making it an easy point of sale for our customers.

How has cryotherapy been received by customers?

iNFUSION sees a wide variety of clients, from athletes (high school, college, and former NFL), to autoimmune patients, arthritic patients and more. The communities of Montgomery and Troy embraced the businesses and have been instrumental in promoting cryotherapy. When you see your best friend or someone influential in the community start to feel better, walk better, and have a different outlook on life, it makes a huge impact on others. Cryotherapy does that for our patients. It has been amazing to see.

How do you promote the cryotherapy?

Our promotion is primarily through word of mouth.  We also use print, talk radio, and television to promote our cryotherapy businesses.

Toleman Mills, Recover Cryo Spa

Our cryo spa business is located in northeast Jackson, MS. This is a brand-new business for us that we will eventually pair with a yoga studio since there are strong synergies between the two offerings.

Tell me about your goals/vision for your business.

Our primary goal is to offer a natural alternative to medicine and traditional methods for our community. We’re fans of modern medicine, but the body has an amazing ability to heal itself if stimulated properly and fueled with the best sources of energy. We will offer cutting-edge recovery methods and wellness at a reasonable price without devaluing the therapy. People in our community should have access to this therapy without a professional athlete or celebrity income.

Why the decision to add cryotherapy?

We have always been passionate about being healthy and living well. If you take care of your body, you can live a high-quality life. It saddens us that every illness or soreness a person experiences in this country is almost immediately medicated. We strive to be the source of education and wellness and bring light can heal your body, without overmedicating it, to feel better and live your best life.

Why did you decide to partner with Impact Cryotherapy?

When we decided to offer whole body cryotherapy, we started doing research. We looked at a lot of options and talked to everyone. The reviews on the Impact model, the safety, the efficiency, and the fact it’s made in the U.S., solidified our decision to go with them. Also, Impact partners with Airgas as their premier gas supplier. I work for Airgas, so there is a level of comfort there for me. I have a safe, reliable source of nitrogen with some control on the supply side.

How has cryotherapy been received by customers?

We’re not the only business in our area offering cryotherapy. Some customers are familiar with it, but surprisingly, our market doesn’t know much about cryotherapy. The reception so far has been very positive. Slowly, we are building our customer base and spreading the word. We’re in a very small market, so I don’t think our business has been as brisk as it might be in a larger metro area. However, we’re determined to change that in a city that has a large community of cyclists, runners, cross-fitters and triathletes. We love that we found it!

How do you promote the cryotherapy?

We currently promote via Facebook paid ads, organic posts and old-fashioned guerilla marketing. We contacted nearby fitness clubs, cross-fit gyms, bike shops, running shops, schools, etc. to tap into the athletic community. We’re also going after referrals from orthopedic surgeons, clinics, chiropractors and massage therapists.

There are special pricing plans for student athletes and fitness communities and we’re considering Groupon. Eventually, we seek to sponsor athletic events since cryotherapy will speak for itself once people experience the benefits.

Why do your clients utilize cryotherapy?

Our clientele includes those suffering from chronic pain associated with fibromyalgia and symptoms of Hashimoto’s disease, those looking to supplement weight loss efforts as well as overall wellness. The athletes are runners, cyclists, triathletes, martial artists, soccer players, baseball players and swimmers. We plan to build a base through referrals too.

Booty N Buff Nutrition, New South Wales, Australia

We are a health and nutrition store located in Caringbah, New South Wales, Australia. You would think that most of our clientele were gym junkies. Surprisingly, they’re not. We have a wide range of clientele who like cryo chamber therapy.

Tell me about your goals/vision for your business.

Our business is about health and well-being. We look for health advantages to give our clients that want to keep an active and healthy lifestyle.

Why the decision to add cryotherapy?

We were introduced to cryotherapy by Below Zero Cryotherapy. We love the Impact Cryotherapy machine. It is the best and most efficient product on the market. We knew we could be successful with it and the amazing benefits cryotherapy provides to us.

I’m thankful to this day I took “the plunge” and gave it a go. The benefits perfectly fit our business model. Six months later, we can attest to them for all walks of life!

Why did you decide to partner with Impact Cryotherapy?

After extensive research, we found the Impact Cryotherapy cryosauna to be the market leader — the efficiency is second to none, the unique design, the quality of materials used for the product and the service we received.

How has cryotherapy been received by customers?

Every client who has tried our cryosauna has loved it! Not one bad word and they have seen some amazing results. We have a client who is a regular user, in her late 60’s and suffers from arthritis in her back. Her toes were curling up, too. After continual treatments, now she is a regular at her gym and her toes are flat. She dropped an amazing 40 kilos through her fitness journey and we are proud to say cryotherapy had a part in her success.

How do you promote the cryotherapy?

We promote our cryotherapy predominantly with social media. We also encourage existing customers to tell their friends — word of mouth is key!

Why do your clients utilize cryotherapy?

Clients use cryotherapy for a wide range of benefits, including a better way of life for sufferers of chronic illnesses and inflammation. Clients have also told us it helps burn calories, tighten skin, cause endorphin rushes and euphoria, reduce anxiety and improve sleep.

Listen to the Doctor – NBC Golf’s Doctor Talks About Cold Therapy

According to Dr. Ara Suppiah, PGA Tour Golf Doctor, Functional Sports Medicine Expert & Chief Medical Analyst at NBC’s Golf Channel, “whole body cryotherapy significantly reduces systemic inflammation in athletes.”  Too much inflammation in the body is problematic as it produces free radicals causing damage on a cellular level – whole body cryotherapy provides a natural remedy for this.

The Three Minute Freeze: An Intern’s Take on a Cryotherapy Session

By Rachel Weaver, University of Delaware, Class of 2018, Candidate for B.S. in Neuroscience

Being a competitive swimmer for fifteen years, I’ve had my fair share of injuries. I deal with aches and pain in my knees, hips, and shoulders. Without access to a pool, I have taken to running, which certainly hasn’t been easy on my knees. During my internship at First State Health & Wellness, I was given the opportunity to try a whole body cryotherapy session.

The cryotherapy cryosauna looked like something out of a sci-fi movie. A time capsule supposedly taking me back to the days before a five-mile run resulted in agony. I was given thermal socks, gloves, and some booties to protect my extremities from the -300° C I was about to subject myself to for three minutes. As the door to the cryosauna opened, a cloud of freezing nitrogen mist escaped chilling my exposed calves.

I stepped up into the cryosauna and ducked my head as a lid was brought over top. As the seconds passed, I moved my arms and kicked my legs in as much of a range of motion as the cryosauna allowed. My attempts to warm my body unfortunately did not prove to be fruitful as the temperature approached its lowest point. Just as I was about to throw my arms up in defeat, my session ended. In one fell swoop I ducked my head, wrapped a robe around my shivering torso, and beelined for my pile of clothing. If nothing else, I surely was awake by this point.

Instantly after exiting the cryosauna, I felt energized. The slight tingling of my skin subsided quickly and the red color reverted to its original. I heard from the staff to pay attention to my sleep that night. When my alarm went off at 7:30 the next morning, I wasn’t clambering for the snooze button. The difference was I had not spent my night constantly shifting in and out of sleep. I hopped on the treadmill, as I do every morning preparing to sweat myself into exhaustion. This time, I had to stop running because I ran out of time, and not because I was too drained to carry my body any further. Somehow, the cryosauna of nitrogen gave me superpowers. I’m looking forward to the next time I can trade in my achy knees and groggy mornings for a session of cryotherapy!

Tell me about your goals/vision for your business.

My goal is to franchise Houston Flex because the techniques I offer combined with Impact cryotherapy are what serious athletes seek out.

Why the decision to add cryotherapy?

I added Impact Cryotherapy to my practice because it goes hand-in-hand with my existing practice and the techniques I provide. Our existing methods combined with Impact Cryotherapy, and NormaTec, help facilitate recovery process and achieve “Better Performance, Fewer Injuries & Faster Recovery” — our objective with every athlete and patient. We are very proud to say we are the first practice of this kind in Houston to offer these methods and techniques at one facility.

Why did you decide to partner with Impact Cryotherapy?

I chose Impact Cryotherapy because after doing my research, I knew that it was the only way to go.

How has cryotherapy been received by customers?

Why PGA Champion Jordan Spieth Needs His Cold Chamber Therapy

Christian Warren, Owner of Game Changer Cryotherapy on Recovery and Rehabilitation

Game Changer Cryotherapy is housed inside of a large clinical facility that offers physical therapy, personal training, custom orthotics, Pilates, and massage therapy located in the Atlanta Metro Area. We see everybody from teenage amateur athletes to professional athletes, weekend warriors, veterans, first responders and anyone else who wants to maintain an active lifestyle.

Tell me about your goals/vision for your business.

We aim to not only spread knowledge about the numerous benefits of whole body cryotherapy (WBC), but also to offer our clients the most comfortable and beneficial experience.

Why the decision to add cryotherapy?

We decided to add cryotherapy to our therapeutic toolbox because after Impact Cryotherapy brought one of the cryotherapy saunas to our facility for a trial session, we were able experience the positive effects of WBC for ourselves. Given our client and patient base, we determined that WBC would be a valuable option for the benefit of their recovery and rehabilitation.

Why did you decide to partner with Impact Cryotherapy?

We chose to partner with Impact Cryotherapy because they were responsible for introducing the cryosauna to our company, they are conveniently based out of Atlanta and a U.S. manufacturer. Consequently, we knew maintenance for the unit would be easily accessible.

How has cryotherapy been received by customers?

Very cold. Our clientele received the introduction of cryotherapy in our facility very well. Many of them have reported that WBC is making a huge impact on their overall daily function as well as relieving their aches and pains.

How do you promote the cryotherapy?

We mainly utilize social media outlets to market our cryotherapy services in addition to word-of-mouth from satisfied consumers. We are in the process of acquiring partnerships with local athletic teams to further expand our marketing and client base.

We also give our staff a session/week and a heavy discount on a second session, to encourage use and familiarity. Since we see about 1,000 PT session/month, it’s important for our staff to understand and believe in the value of WBC.

Why do your clients utilize cryotherapy?

The top reasons why our clients take advantage of cryotherapy are:

  1. Recover from training
  2. Pain relief
  3. Health and wellness

Dr. David Lipman, Owner of Cryo Suite shares his Cryotherapy Story

Dr. David Lipman is a Chiropractic Physician with 30 years of experience. After practicing in New York and Connecticut, his practice is now based in Boca Raton, FL.

We sat down with Dr. Lipman to learn more about how cryotherapy has helped transform his business – ready to dive in?

The Cryo Suite Vision

My industry is typically based on a third-party payor model which has become increasingly difficult to thrive in since health insurance moved to a managed care model in the mid 90’s. When I opened in South Florida, I had to develop a cash-based model and offer services not typically covered by insurance, along with a quality of care that couldn’t be offered in a typical insurance pay model.

I always seek cutting edge therapies that complement the hands-on services provided as a Chiropractic Physician. I focus on therapies that tap into the body’s own recuperative power, such as Class IV Deep Tissue laser, whole body vibration and inversion as well as provide consistent cash flow. Fortunately, I live and work with a demographic inclined to invest in their health. In fact, most customers who try cryotherapy in my office become regular customers and refer their friends and family.

We chose a mobile unit business model since there are many fitness centers, health fairs and sporting events in our area. The vision is to add additional mobile units and expand to other regions with similar demographics.

Adding Cryotherapy to the Business Model

Personally, I am 56 yrs old and have been managing many injuries since I was young. Whole body cryotherapy adds a significant dimension to my recovery from intense exercise and provides a way to be pain-free and functional despite my labor-intensive lifestyle. It has become a staple.

I also find it enables me to help patients out of pain. When inflammation is mitigated in the body, in a non-invasive 3-minute treatment, recovery is greatly sped up and ultimately provides faster results.

Additionally, my cousin tried whole body cryotherapy and found it manages her chronic knee pain. We went into this business together, which we enjoy, since our fathers had been in business together.

Partnering with Impact Cryotherapy

I was first exposed to whole body cryotherapy when I flew to New York to try a unit advertised online. Afterward, I searched locally in South Florida to see if anyone offered it. I tried a session at another local chiropractor. The experience was nothing like the initial session in Manhattan. I realized immediately there is more than one company offering a cryotherapy chamber. I tried many models as if I was going to invest. However, I had not experienced the effects like the first unit. The biggest difference was most units did not provide a consistent cooling of the upper and lower body, and those that did, cooled mostly in the leg area. When I tried the Impact unit, it offered the biggest mass of cooled air that uniformly cools the body while maintaining cold temperatures for the duration of the session. For me, Impact offered the best effect and therefore, the best client experience.

Cryotherapy for the Customer Base

My clientele range from mid-teens to mid-60’s who exercise on a regular basis for health and wellness, or compete in events such as CrossFit, weight lifting, marathons, triathlons, Spartan races, tennis and golf.Initially, patients and clients do whole body cryotherapy for after exercise. We also have customers that say it provides them mood rejuvenation and a general sense of well-being.

Kelly Duncan, Owner of Invigorate Cryotherapy on Full Body Cryotherapy

Invigorate opened this spring in Richmond, Va. We exclusively focus on full body cryotherapy. Our clientele is a diverse group, ranging from an auto shop owner in her 70s to college athletes. What they have in common is they are very active and want to continue that way for a long time. Many clients have experienced injuries or have been very hard on their bodies. They now realize that for longevity, it is important to take their recovery as seriously as they do other activities, such as work or exercise.

Tell me about your goals/vision for your business.

We believe life is too short for pain that holds you back. Our goal is to help clients feel their absolute best so they can be their absolute best.

Why the decision to add cryotherapy?

Until this year, the closest cryotherapy was two hours away. A town full of runners, bikers, golfers and outdoor enthusiasts was a prime, untapped location.

Why did you decide to partner with Impact Cryotherapy?

My background is in engineering and manufacturing, so safety and reliability were my top criteria in selecting a cryosauna. Impact Cryotherapy was best in class in both areas. Their existing customer enthusiasm and great customer support were just bonuses.

How has cryotherapy been received by customers?

It’s not unusual for a first timer to be curious, excited and nervous. Once they experience their first session, and are warmly back in their robes, they are amazed by the experience and they immediately feel refreshed and invigorated. The boost in energy often inspires them to get out and “do something,” ranging from hopping on a bike for a quick (50 mile) ride to using the push mower instead of a riding one.

How do you promote the cryotherapy?

Right now, we spend a lot of time educating the community to increase awareness of cryotherapy. Setting up at races and other community events provides great exposure and a chance to answer people’s questions. These events allow us to explain how cryotherapy fits into a busy lifestyle.

Why do your clients utilize cryotherapy?

We attract active, motivated individuals that feel like their bodies hold them back from maximizing their athletic performance or participate in their favorite hobby. They love that cryotherapy helps pursue their passions with more ease and, even better, that they can be in, out and back to their busy lives in less than 15 minutes.
